By now most of the English-speaking world has heard about the shootings at a Chattanooga, Tn Marine recruitment station on Thursday, and our hearts go out to the families of those brothers. The loss of lives during the past years of dealing with terrorism has been staggering, but to see these instances coming to our shores. To our homeland… well it has to stop!
It does seem though that the Federal government, specifically the FBI may have very well lost contact and surveillance on this particular shooter. It seems that an FBI official told Yahoo news reports that;
A U.S. official told the Associated Press that Abdulazeez had not been on the radar of federal law enforcement before Thursday’s shooting.
But also added:
His father had been investigated several years ago for “possible ties to a foreign terrorist organization” and added to the U.S. terrorist watch list, according to a report in the New York Times, but that probe did not surface information about Abdulazeez, the paper said.
So what we have is a homegrown ISIS terrorist whose father had been added to a “watch list” and a son who had NOT been on the radar, yet 24-year-old Mohammod Youssuf Abdulazeez had been maintaining a blog where he wrote “Islamic-focused” posts that were entered as recently as three days ago on SITE, a widely read website that tracks Islamic terrorism. So yeah, again tell me how the FBI, one, didn’t have this guy on a “watch list” and two, how they could have ever “lost” track of him?
Now, I’m not tightening the “tin-foil Stetson” just yet and calling this some type of “false flag” event, but things start to fall apart when I hear reports that hundreds of FBI agents were on-scene within hours of the shooting. Did they know about it prior? I understand mobilizing federal agents can be done quickly, but there is typically protocols that have to take place, prior to a federal agency taking control of any local crime scene.
Combine that with Obama stating that “it is a heartbreaking circumstance for these individuals who have served our country with great valor to be killed in this fashion.” Calling it the “acts of a lone gunman“, yet this man has been on the feds radar, has known ties to terrorist organizations, and has been arrested using a “false name”. How do these things happen? Top that off with our military’s inability to carry firearms in public or even on base, and you have a recipe for disaster.
This of course is not the first attempt on recruitment stations; In June 2009, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad killed a soldier and wounded another at an Army recruiting center in Little Rock, Ark. Planned attacks on centers were foiled in Baltimore in December 2010 and Seattle in June 2011.
When do We the People get the truth? When does our government finally say; “We’ve trained these men and women for battle. They are more than proficient with firearms and their safety. It’s time to let them carry and protect themselves and the citizens around them. It’s time to stop creating military “gun-free” zones, so some crazed “lone” terrorist (that was sarcasm for those that didn’t see it) can’t kill anymore of our soldiers.
I’m really getting tired of wondering if everything that happens, isn’t some conspiracy to destroy our country. An opaque government would be nice for a change.
