Council on American-Islamic Relations Doesn’t Want Military Honored on Memorial Day

Arlington National Cemetery (ROOM ENTERTAIN)

As the majority of Americans mourn the loss of our heroes this Memorial Day, yet there is another type of people out there who professes peace, love and care, but have decided that we shouldn’t be honoring any of those involved in our wars.

The members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR have decided instead, to honor all those Muslims, including terrorists, who have been killed by American soldiers.

The DOJ has identified the Council as a U.S. Muslim Brotherhood organization, and it is currently engaged in a terrorism financing trial. CAIR of course maintains that it is a “moderate” organization.

CAIR has branches across the United States.  The executive director of the San Francisco Bay Area chapter, Zahra Billoo, tweeted that she “struggles with Memorial Day each year” as to whether she should honor U.S. soldiers who died in wars.

The American-Islamic Forum on Democracy or AFID has spoken out against CAIR’s radical stances. It’s leader, Dr. Ziuhdi Jasser, who served in the U.S. Navy stated, “It is plain to see, however, that they [CAIR] have nothing but disdain for our armed forces. We do hope that Muslim members of the U.S. military realize that CAIR sees you as ‘occupiers,’ not patriots protecting the freest nation on earth.”

I guess it is irrelevant as to whether we live in the freest Nation on earth, or that many of our brave men and women in the armed forces have died protecting those freedoms.  We have those rights because those people you do not wish to honor, decided to support them for you regardless. No matter how many lives are lost, no matter how many freedoms and liberties are saved, there will still be those who refuse to thank the people who have made it possible. It is not the government we support… it’s the men and women who sacrified in Her name, in hopes of maintaining the freest Nation in the world.

Here are a few of the tweets I found on some of the CAIR pages.  Feel free to let them know how you feel.

And here are a few that were taken down, maybe this guy isn’t as stupid as he appears?
