Does it matter if you are left or right leaning in your political ideology, for you to know that the average media outlet thrives on sensationalism? Either way you lean from the political “fence”, it doesn’t take a “rocket doc” to realize that blaming our military veterans for the riots in Baltimore is asinine at best. I’ll let you decide on whether her remarks were “spot on” or “inflammatory”?
It seems that the CNN anchor had the “chutzpah” to blame our nation’s returning veterans for the violence displayed in the streets of Maryland’s largest city stating; “I love our nation’s veterans, but some of them are coming back from war, they don’t know the communities, and they are ready to do battle.”
To find some kind of context to her words, we have to look at the topic of the discussion to know she was referencing “increased training and retraining for the Baltimore Police force. These men and women in blue, in my opinion have done a commendable job in showing professionalism and understanding throughout the entire incident. I cannot understand her intent, other than to “smear” the good name of our veterans as well as the officers who have had to deal with the violence that erupted out of what was supposedly to be a “peaceful” protest.
Every one watching the events unfold in Baltimore can clearly see that those causing this insidiousness are nothing more than Anarchist “thugs” intent on destroying the very city in which they live. It is NOT the police, who have had at least 15 wounded since the riots began.
Folks. Please don’t misunderstand me. Dear friends/family of mine are veterans. I was repeating a concern vocalized to me lately. That’s it.

Again I stress; It doesn’t matter which side of the political spectrum you fall on, it is painfully obvious to this writer that it not the fault of our returning veterans. And what her comments imply to the entire world is; Don’t hire veterans, they are just damaged goods who cannot be trusted.”
Even though it appears Ms. Baldwin is trying to make amends in her “tweet” for the inflammatory statements she made in the interview, I can only hope she will take the time and apologize to all of our veterans from behind the desk at CNN.
