If any readers just awoke from an eight year-long coma, and are a patriot in any way, this will almost sum up what you have missed from our current Commander-in-Chief. It’s not news to say that President Barack Obama is not in favor of supporting the United States Military. This great nation has been blessed with many Presidents who expressed their appreciation of the U.S. Military forces and showed their support for them on numerous occasions. As they should seeing as how the men and women who are in the military are the ones on the front lines to protect this great nation, and not to mention, the President’s hide. You wouldn’t know it from the actions or words from our current President.
Presidents of the past would make a meaningful address in remembrance of those soldiers who were lost, and lived through D-Day on June 6th, 1944 when U.S. forces rushed onto Omaha Beach in Normandy during World War II. A very famous speech was made by one of America’s favorite President’s, Ronald Reagan, known as, “The Boys of Pointe du Hoc”.
However, our current President didn’t take a break from his lack of acknowledgement of our military’s feats. Why on Earth would he want to do so? The United States Army didn’t run onto the beaches of Normandy to put a stop to Hitler’s reign over France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, and several other countries. Or wait, did they? Oh, that’s right. They did.
If history books didn’t exist, and there was no way to remember what happened on June 6th, 1944. Then perhaps President Obama would have an excuse for his lapse in memory yesterday when he chose to talk about the importance of immigrants in America rather than D-Day with the patriotism the topic deserves.
Famous for his allowance upwards of a million undocumented immigrants in the U.S. just in the years 2013 and 2014 alone, and allowing them benefits such as driver’s licenses, Medicaid, possibly to vote if certain political figures have their way, and all the while don’t have to pay the penalties that American citizens need to pay for certain tax requirements.
Not difficult to believe that President Obama talked about his pride and joy of the mess he has created here in America on the 71st anniversary of D-Day. Just in case you don’t believe me, watch it below.
